The power of journaling for self - reflection
Reflection helps me to move forward, learn from my mistakes and to see where I need corrections. I use my journal to record my journey. I use it to look back at past experiences. It gives me reminders of what I need to be grateful for and also helps me not repeat mistakes.
A lot of times I use it along with my therapy sessions. While I’m in the office when I have breakthroughs or need to remember something, I write it down so there’s absolutely no pressure on me to recall something and that way I can be fully present.
If you have a mental illness writing is a way to express your experiences and receive validation. It is a tool to use when you need an outlet. Try it.
