Healthy people do not pretend. Do you ever find yourself people pleasing? It’s exhausting and the problem with people pleasing is, YOU don’t need the approval of people. And its likely you will never get it. People can be so fickle. Freedom is being you.

You may think that you need the approval of others because of something that happened in your past. Long-term hurts from close family members. Maybe your parents were always comparing you to others, maybe someone you trusted rejected you. Many things can lead you to seek the approval of people but ounce you recognize it, change your thought. Next time you fin train of thought forcing you to even consider the approval of another, redirect that thought.

Healthy people do laugh. In life things don’t have to be that serious and it should not be. Life is meant to be enjoyed. Find a funny gif. Or watch a clip od something that makes you laugh at least once a day to release good endorphins in your brain.

Healthy people do work on themselves. It’s an on-going process an it should be never ending. We can always be better but we should never stop learning. Commit to reading one book a month. or reading news journals on a topic you are interested in.

Healthy people are open & balanced. Though it can be challenging to maintain balance it is extremely telling about your mental health. Are you closed off? Are you blurring the lines between your work and personal life? Maybe so, but here’s a new way to challenge your status quo. Try being easy to talk to by opening up to others that are interested in you as a person.

Healthy people have clear minds. In a world full of noise, its even harder to find peace. There’s oftentimes a lot going on in your mind, it can be a place of clutter without the proper maintenance. It is not normal to have a mind constantly busy. 90% of the time we should have peace. A mind that is on chill mode. Do you find that your mind is racing, or you constantly have too many thoughts? If so, try meditation, try quoting a bible scripture give you peace, try focusing on breathing, every thought does not need your attention.
